NICE Winter Camp Sports Fest 2019

Last January 24, 2019, the NICE Winter Camp Sports Fest 2019 was held at Angelis Resort, Muntinlupa City. The students and teachers were grouped into four teams namely The Blue Pirates, NICE Airforce, The Evergreens and The Flaming Dragons. The teams were given an ample time to practice their cheer dance, and they gave their best in practice and in their official performance.

The cheer dance competition started with a splash as The Blue Pirates showed us what they got with their water-themed production. Next came the NICE Airforce with their air-themed performance that swept us off our feet. The Evergreens didn’t want to back down and hypnotized us with their mesmerizing routine. Everything was peaceful in the gymnasium then, but everything changed when The Flaming Dragons attacked. The Flaming Dragons fascinated us with their showmanship and brought the gymnasium down winning the 2019 Cheer Dance Competition of NICE Academy.

The cheer dance competition was just a warm-up for the games as the students and the teachers alike gave their best to win for their respective groups. In the end, The Flaming Dragons won the overall trophy as they fought their way to the top. The Winter Camp 2019 students showed heart and perseverance in every event they joined and games they played. This event also showed that at the end of the day, what matters is having fun and showing the camaraderie they grew with each other. Because of this event, the students grew closer with each other and learned valuable lessons along the way. It was a hard-fought competition that could’ve been won by any team, and we are excited for the next sports fest.
